SUBMITTED PHOTO Seven Lackawanna County 4-H textile science members recently competed in the regional 4-H fashion revue in Mehoopany. Thirty-eight members from six counties were judged based on appearance, fit, design, fashion and construction techniques. In addition, participants attended workshops on modeling and making lotions and upcycled tee shirt bags. The day concluded with a fashion show and an awards presentation. Faith Hosie of Jessup earned the yellow ribbon in the Senior Non-Wearable division. Julia Mazur earned spots at the state 4-H Fashion Revue, scheduled for the main campus of Penn State University on August 7. The young women will compete against 4-H’ers from across the state for the top 12 places.
