The Chamber Gallery, located in the historic Dime Bank Building, now known as The Greater Carbondale Chamber of Commerce Building, 27 N. Main St. in Carbondale, will open an art exhibit titled “The Artwork of Ellen Goosay,” on Saturday, Aug. 11, 7-9 p.m. with entertainment by song stylist Sandra Anderson. Admission is free and open to the public.

In her first year as a member of the Pocono Arts Council, the Pocono Arts Council has recognized her as an “emerging artist.”

Ruthanne Jones, director of The Chamber Gallery in Carbondale, describes Ellen’s artistry as “the beautiful expression of joy in the color and spontaneity of life. Ellen’s art, exquisitely reveals all those feelings which cannot be put into words, through the brush and palette of this highly accomplished artist. We are very excited to be presenting Ellen Goosay’s enchanting and beautiful vision of the world.”

The exhibition will be on display through Sept. 8. and will be on display Saturday, Aug. 18, noon to 4 p.m. during “Pioneer Nights.” Call 570-282-1690 for more information.
