The American Legion District 11 recently celebrated 100 years of service to the community with an anniversary dinner held at Fiorelli Catering in Peckville. Among the 250 attendees were the Legion members, members of the Sons of the American Legion (SAL), auxiliaries, Legion Riders and members and officers of the Raymond Henry Post No. 327 in Olyphant.
U.S. Navy Capt. Jeff Sunday spoke at the event, as did Ronald F. Conley, past National Commander.
The American Legion Raymond Henry Post 827, Olyphant held services to honor all veterans, presenting wreaths to honor the memory of the men and women of Olyphant who made the supreme sacrifice.
