While most people were enjoying one of their final weeks of summer, the Lakeland High School girls soccer team decided to give back. As they have the past four summers, the team held a soccer camp for local area children. Girls from the team volunteered to instruct and teach the game of soccer to approximately 50 players ages 6-13. They were assisted by their coaches, Paul Sotak and Krista Davis, and Hannah Richner. The Lady Chiefs Youth Soccer Camp raised $1,020. All of the proceeds from the camp were donated to three local charities: The Jamie Kotula Foundation, the Tyler M. Kubilus Scholarship Fund and the Michael Meoni Memorial Scholarship.
