Williamsport, Aug. 16: The Double R Twirlettes sponsor a bus trip to the Little League World Series Grand Slam Parade on Wednesday, Aug. 16. The bus will leave from Peckville at 9 a.m. You will have your day open in Williamsport since the parade does not begin until 5:30 p.m. The cost is $25 per person. Bronx Zoo, Aug. 17: Thursday Aug. 17, a bus trip to the Bronx Zoo will depart from Carbondale at 7:30 a.m. Includes roundtrip Martz Bus Service, driver’s tip, total experience ticket and t-shirt. Call 570-281-9797 for availability. Deadline is Saturday, Aug. 5.

Atlantic City, Sept. 9: The Double “R” Twirlettes will sponsor a bus trip to the Miss America Pageant Parade in Atlantic City on Saturday, Sept. 9. The cost for the bus is $40 per person (with a $15 rebate at Caesar’s for those 21yrs and older). • Puerto Rico, Oct. 7-11: A group is planning a trip Columbus Day weekend, October 7-11 to Puerto Rico.
