DCCC Fitness

At the Dickson City Civic Center, 935 Albert St.

• Senior Fitness: Betsy’s low-impact fitness class for seniors on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9-10 a.m. Classes are free for Dickson City residents. Non-residents may join for a $10 annual fee.

• Betsy’s Boot Camp: fitness classes combine cardio, step, kickboxing and weight training to help you reach your fitness goals. Classes run Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:15-7:15 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays, 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Adopt A Veteran For Christmas Drive: Dec. 3 - 17

The St. Francis Commons homeless veterans shelter in Scranton, will be collecting the supplies, to be delivered with a hot meal just before Christmas: disposable razors, shaving cream, twin-size sheets, twin-size comforters, pillows, cereal (Cheerios, Frosted Flakes, Chex), canned coffee (any caffeinated brand), Chef Boy R Dee canned products, bagged sugar, canned creamer, gum, granola bars, trail mix, snacks). If you’d like to participate you can drop off any of the items during class hours or call 570-815-4655.

Nearme Yoga

Nearme Yoga, 110 Terrance Drive in Peckville, offers a variety of yoga classes including all-level vinyasa, kids yoga for all ages, mom and me, happy hour, candlelight flow, beginner “the basics” yoga, restorative yoga and many workshops and events.
